I remembered not liking Aryn's sections when I read through these books before, but didn't mind them so much this time around. Mark Anthony's strengths in dialogue and description continue to improve, although I can't help but feel like it opened with some archaic vernacular, and near the end (like the last 10%) there was some heavy summary to move the story along. I can see why, but still, it was a lot.
Also interesting, I feel like the first two books had emphatic beginnings and ends, where third book really fed into this one, and this one really feeds into the fifth.
