Pratchett is in full swing now
We are rejoined by Rincewind as Sourcery[1] returns to Discworld. When a young boy named Coin, the first sourcerer in hundreds of years, arrives in Ankh-Morpork, Rincewind and Conina[2] must leave Ankh-Morpork with the hat of the Archchancellor of Unseen University. as a Sourcerer, Coin, as come to control of UU and the city.
They escape on a boat, are beset by slaver pirates, lose the hat, reach Klatch(sp?), and then find it again. Also the luggage.
Magic lamp and genie timeshare on the lamp. Nijel the talking snake.the luggage going on a Bender.
The wizards who first try to prop up the sourcerer, but then try to subvert him.
I rather liked Conina, but Nijel and Creosote were annoying as characters. Nijel grew on me, Creosote did not. It's always fun when Death gets so much page time, and the added bonus of War, Famine, and Pestilence for the Apocralypse is nice too.
